“Dumb Luck” captures the essence of late nineties nostalgia by tapping into the indie sound of Elliot Smith with a bite of something a little more contemporary like Guster’s Ruby Falls. What’s great about Dumb Luck is its straight up sound, there’s not alot of flash, which is a refreshing quality in an era completely inundated with flash and excess. It’s not very often we hear a band wear their heart so willingly on their sleeve. The simple joy of pure pop is on full display here, and it’s a pleasure to listen to.
